Is Lucky Lap free?
Yes, it's free to play. The shop sells rolls through the App Store; everything else, from sticker packs to shields, is earned by playing.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. Your park lives online, not only on your phone. If the connection drops, a "No connection" card appears and the game keeps trying ("Trying again in 5 s", or tap Try now). Your park is safe, and a roll that was on its way goes through as soon as you're back. While the game can't connect, your roll count shows "?".
What does this space do?
Tap it. Between rolls, tapping any space on the board shows a card saying what it does and what it holds right now. Every space is explained on Board spaces.
Why are some buttons grey with a padlock?
You're on the first-session tour, and Pippa hasn't introduced those yet. Keep rolling: they open as the tour reaches them. The Album and Friends tabs open when the tour is over.
Do doubles do anything?
Doubles don't give an extra turn. They count towards the Quick Win "Roll 3 doubles", and at park security doubles are what win you the prize.
I closed the game in the middle of a prank or heist.
It waits for you. The next time you open the game, you go straight back to it to finish.
The camera is drifting round the town on its own.
If you leave the game alone for 30 seconds between rolls, the camera takes a slow tour of the town. Touch anywhere to come back. With Reduce motion on, it doesn't happen.
Does Pippa talk?
Not out loud. Her words type out on a card beside her while she moves her hands and her mouth. See Meet Pippa.
When does a new day start?
At midnight on your phone's clock. That's when the daily event, the daily gift and Quick Wins and the tournament start over. The weekly bar starts over on Monday. The shop's free gift isn't tied to the day: it's ready 8 hours after you last collected it.
Rolls and coins
How do I get more rolls?
Rolls refill by themselves over time, up to your roll bank. You also get rolls from the free gift, the daily gift, Quick Wins, the weekly bar, event milestones, level-ups, finishing a park, the tournament, friend rewards, sticker sets and some spaces on the board. See Running out of rolls.
Why did my coins go down?
Building rides and repairing them costs coins. A repair fee space takes a few (never more than a tenth of what you have). And another player may have robbed your park in a heist: they take half of what they won, and while you're away you can lose at most 15% of your coins that way. The "While you were away" card and the Friends tab tell you who.
Why is one of my rides a level lower, with a hammer on its tag?
Another player's prank hit it. Repair it in Build mode for half the price of the level it lost. See Being pranked and robbed.
What are crew keys for?
You get one from every crew chest. They're for crew rewards with your friends, which are coming later. Your keys are kept until then.
What are the yellow ticket markers on some spaces?
They mark today's event spaces. Land on one to collect its tickets; the ticket flies off and comes back the next time you pass the gate. See The daily event and tickets.
Why can't I pick a higher multiplier?
The multiplier opens when you finish your first park, and each one needs a balance of 20 times its size: 40 rolls for x2, 100 for x5, and so on. See The multiplier.
Other players
Whose parks do I prank?
The player you chose for Revenge, players who hit you recently, your friends and other players near your park number. When nobody is about, the tram takes you to a visiting park. See Whose park you visit.
Can I protect my park?
Your park starts with 3 shields, and each one blocks a prank. On top of that, however many visits you get while you're away, you lose at most 2 damaged rides and 15% of your coins.
How do I add friends?
Swap friend codes on the Friends tab, or connect Facebook to add Facebook friends who play. See Friends.
Someone has an offensive name. Can I report or block them?
Yes. Tap the three dots on them (on the Friends tab, in your news, or on the prank or heist card) and choose Report or Block. A blocked player can't prank or rob you and you won't see each other again; unblock them in Settings. See Reporting and blocking a player.
Why do other players see a different name for me?
Other players reported your name, or it contains a word added to the filter since you chose it. They see your made-up name until you choose another in Settings.
Your account
How do I move my park to a new phone?
Connect Facebook in Settings on your old phone, then connect the same Facebook account on the new one and tap Switch. Without Facebook, a guest park can't be moved. See Switching phones.
How do I change my name?
Type a new one under "Your name" in Settings or on the Friends tab, and tap Save. Players under 13 keep their made-up name.
How do I turn off the sound, or the shaking and flashing?
Settings has switches for Sound, Haptics and Reduce motion. See Sound, haptics and reduce motion.
Can I delete my account?
Yes: Settings, Account, Delete account. It deletes your park and everything else for good. See Deleting your account.
The game says "Quick tune-up".
Lucky Lap is having a little maintenance. Your park is safe. The card checks by itself every so often ("Checking again in 30 s"), or tap Check now, and you carry on where you left off when it's done ("We're back!").
